While already in development and pre-series our helmets are thoroughly tested in our own certified testing facility. In serial production we also pick control samples on a daily basis.

At the test lab we have 5 different test rigs to test for different certifications as ECE (Europe), DOT (USA), or SNEEL and FIA norm (racing). Part of the test programm is dropping the helmets on different shaped anvils from different heights. Besides the shock absorption capabilities all movable parts are tested for durability.

Not only our Motorcycle helmets are tested in our facility, but it also allows to test our other products such as Firefighter, Police and Work protection helmets. And one promise is the same no matter which helmet is tested: It´s not enough to meet the values from regulations and norms, we want to stay on top of them!

The FIA’s Action for Road Safety is a global campaign, which focuses the federation’s resources on helping its member clubs around the globe to educate and advocate for safer roads, vehicles and behaviours. We will use our knowledge and expertise to support the FIA campaign.

Action for Road Safety

At the FIA Formula 1 Grand Prix in Spa our CEO Marcel Lejeune presented the Formula 1 helmet SF1 featuring the campaign’s logo to the FIA president Jean Todt. During the next future Schuberth will present special designed FIA helmets of the Premium flip-up helmet C3 which will be used at major motorsports events.
Further more we will donate a replica of the commerative gold plated helmet, specially designed to mark seven time Formula 1 World Champion and Schuberth long-term partner to FIAS to be auctioned to raise funds for the Action for Road Safety campaign.
