Seventh time in a row: Schuberth became Best Brand 2012

Over 30.000 readers of the magazine “MOTORRAD” voted: Schuberth is Best Brand 2012 in category helmets. With this we won the eligible award of Europes biggest motorcycle magazine for the seventh time in a row !

We would like to thank you all for the trust in us! 2012 will be a very special year for us: We hope to present you a lot of upcoming products, that will always be the best combination of safety, comfort and our passion for technology – and that hopefully will amaze you the way it does us !

“Toughest Firefighter Alive” wearing Schuberth !

Every two years the “World Firefighter Games TFA” are held and the title “Toughest Firefighter Alive” is awarded.
The championship is quite comparable to the Ironman, but here the toughest firefighters from all Nations battle in specific firefighter-challenges.

Joachim Posanz (on the picture right) and Alexander Meyer, two firefighters from Göttingen, Germany made 1st and 3rd place in the last championship in Daegu, South-Korea 2010. We are proud to supply both of them with a Schuberth F220 for their next challenge in 2012.

The “Indoor Firefighter Challenge” is a smaller national champioship that took place on March, 13th in Dortmund. Our Team had to succeed in 5 challenges with full Firefighter outfit.

Started with the “Tower challenge”, where a 19 kg fire hose has to be carried 12,5m high. Form above they had to pull up another fire hose.

After pulling a 79,4kg Dummy backwards over the finish line they made again 1st and 2nd place in the championship – congratulations !

The next challenge will be the “Berlin Firefighter Stairrun”, next Saturday and we´ll accompany their hopefully succesful finish and post more fotos here – good luck !

Sixth time in a row: Schuberth became Best Brand 2011

27.622 well informed and dedicated readers of the magazine “MOTORRAD” voted: Schuberth is Best Brand 2011 in category helmets. With this we won the eligible award of Europes biggest motorcycle magazine for the sixth time in a row.

Our sales director Franz-Josef Görges had the honour to receive the award within a ceremony at Signal-Iduna-Park in Dortmund. (8th from the right – he is hiding a little bit) Especially the very good result made us happy: With 64,4 % we could reach the best result ever and maximise the distance to the second follower for more than 10 % points.

We would like to thank you for the trust in us! According to the principle “better is the enemy of good” we will take this result as goal to still raise our product quality and service for you!

Today I had the chance to go into our “helmet-archives”. As a company that was founded back in 1922, we do have quite a lot historical helmets.

This one is a very special one: It´s an open face carbon helmet, developed out of a formula1 helmet shell.

Jutta Kleinschmidt did use it in Rally Paris-Dakar.
In 2001 she was the first women to win Paris-Dakar.

She did wear this helmet while driving for the Volkswagen-Team from 2002-2005.

Schuberth Celebrates Grand Opening of North American Office

Powersports media and VIPs along with Aliso Viejo city officials took part in Schuberth North America’s official Grand Opening.

Marcel Lejeune, Schuberth CEO, Mayor Phillip Tsunoda of Aliso Viejo, Aliso Viejo Community Association Board President Ross Chun, and Randy Northrup, General Manager, cut the ribbon officially opening the Schuberth North America business.

“We are excited to re-introduce the North American market to our award winning, German-engineered motorcycle helmets, accessories, and customer service effort through a network of exclusive dealers this November,” says Northrup.

Lina Van de Mars with Schuberth Q2

The well known host (DMAX “Der Checker”, Sport1 “Die Autoprofis”) and tuning expert Lina van de Mars now belongs to the exclusive group of Schuberth pilots. The mechanic likes to work on cars and is a passionate driver. We are happy to support Lina with our professional race helmet Q2.

For official helmet handover Lina visited our helmet manufactury in Magdeburg. Our colleagues were very happy about her visit and Lina signed autograph cards and posed for photos

By the way: the Q2 won’t stay white too long. Soon the helmet will receive a Lina special design, probably in seventies style and with some twinkle effect. As soon as the helmet is sprayed by Jens, we will publish the pictures.

From the 3^rd of July Schuberth starts the brandnew Service-Point. Each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. our Service-Point is open. Our trained service colleagues will be happy about your visit and they will repair your Schuberth helmet locally: We service your visor or your interior and much more.

MILE WITANY! – Welcome to Magdeburg

Last week a group of polish motorcycle-journalists did visit us at Magdeburg. Poland has 38 mio. residents and 1 mio. registered bikes – so they are really sophisticated bikers. With Robert Kubica they also have a formula-1 pilot who just made 2nd place in Melbourne, unfortunately he´s not wearing a Schuberth yet.
